It's a Bokeh party!

Over at http://tracys-trinkets-treasures.blogspot.com she's having a Bokeh party. I love this type of photography! I had gotten a new camera for Mother's Day last year, and I love this camera. These are a few pics of some tulips my dear hubby got for me for Valentines Day. I love tulips, so pretty and droopy and romantic!

This one I did do a little editing to. Oh even the first picture too. But I wanted to also show straight from the camera as well. Hope you enjoy them!

Our story?

Well I'm sorry to say we don't have a romantic story. We have known each other since high school. We didn't date though. He actually lived in another town about 30 min. away, but we had the same friends here in my town. After high school we went our separate ways. I went to Florida and he went to the Marines. OOHRAA!! I moved back to my home town and about a year or so after that he was out of the service and came home.

We met again at a club we all hung out at sometimes and he asked me out. Actually he said" so when are you going out with me?" Yea I know romantic huh? But yes I went out with him and we have been together ever since. For 16 years. I told ya, not really romantic, but there it is! You can read more at mydesertcottage.blogspot.com. Is there a reason for...

selling something that you assume you can do with it what you think it's there for? I bought these at a hobby store and shoot you can't put anything in the middle of them!! I assume that's what they are for since they have 2 pieces of glass with them. I made a collage of paper, it wouldn't close, so I did this and it still wouldn't close and when it did this is what happened! But I could see it as fate, because of what the words say and it "broke".

Valentines and vintage keys!

WELL I RECIEVED THIS WONDERFUL VALENTINE FROM KECIA FROM http://lemoncholys.blogspot.com. I SENT HER A VALENTINE AS WELL BUT FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.I HAVE IT SITTING IN THIS LITTLE VINTAGE CUP. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS OR WAS, BUT IT'S RED AND I USUALLY PUT MY RINGS IN IT WHEN I'M COOKING SOMETHING MESSY!

I JUST LOVE IT! I HAVE TO GO AND THANK HER! I HAVEN'T DONE THAT YET! MAN I AM SO SCATTERED LATELY!

OH PLUS THE AWESOME ARTWORK ON THE FRONT ENVELOPE! I ALSO POSTED SOME PICTURES OF SOME OF THE VINTAGE KEYS I COLLECT.

I FOUND THE PRINTERS TRAY AT AN ANTIQUE STORE FOR ONLY15 BUCKS! THEY HAD TWO MORE BUT I COULDN'T GET THEM ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I BET THEY ARE NOT EVEN THERE ANMORE. :(

cupcakes and quilts

Well the cupcakes I am in a sense "working" on those too! ;) They are mini ones from Walmart. They are valentiney and chocolate and good and not white and snowy!!
YUMMMMMM!!!! The kids are helping me too! With the cupcakes anyway.

The circus quilt I think I will continue to do on my own! It's still in the workings. I've been sewing down the letters today then on to the corner blocks.

There is more to it but for now this is what I'm working on. Plus the cupcakes.

SNOW! Yes we have more snow.

I've had enough. Just like everyone else, I've had enough snow. It is pretty to look at. I do love to watch it snow, it's so peaceful.

We had plenty today that's for sure. The sun finally came out, for about half an hour and now it's getting dark, so I went out to take some pictures.

I love taking photos of this old truck in my neighbors yard. There is no telling what else is in that yard, but I like the truck.

Of course the wheelbarrow never gets put up at the end of the year. Ever. But, it's pretty with some snow on it!

Quilting again!

Boy I tell ya so far this year it is the year for me to make some quilts! I got the baby quilt finished up for my husbands fishing buddy, they are having a baby girl! I do hope they like it.

Again the cat loves to nosey when I'm doing something with fabric! I finally gave up for awhile till she looses interest in it. I was in the process of cutting border strips for this quilt.

It is also for one of my husbands fishing friends. This one is for his wife for her birthday.

I love blue and yellow together, so pretty.

This one is a full size quilt. Still have the 2 inch border and a 6 inch border to go then I will start one the next one. It is for my aunt and it is a circus theme quilt. So many ideas on that one! Ah so a quilting I will go! If I don't go nuts first!!
