Hostage!

006

I am currently being held hostage by this candy bar! It saw me at the store yesterday and just came home with me! It’s been calling my name and I can’t resist it! I need help….or maybe I’ll just finish the darn thing off and won’t have to worry about it anymore! Hope you all have an awesome Friday!

I'm sorry roses!

Roses, that's what you get when you are mad at your husband and he knows he was in the wrong! I took some pics of them this morning and did a little editing, they were so glowing red before I edited them. I just wanted to share a few of my favorite ones.

I think I might just draw this one up and paint it!

I do love this one too.

Maybe this one too!

Well, needless to say he isn't in trouble anymore. Usually I get my hair done when this happens, but the roses are beautiful so, he did good! Hope you all have a great day and if no one else buys you roses, buy them for yourself, you deserve it!!

Craft show and some art!

Ok kind of a long post today, but I've got some pics to share! The first few are of the craft show I did this past Saturday. Of course ya gotta have some peat pot ornaments! I made a few bags. Bigger totes and some smaller ones for the little girls. I thought they turned out pretty cute, even though I only sold one of the bigger ones. But I did get alot of compliments on them and it's always fun to talk to all the people who come by!

I made only two wreaths made from the vintage ornaments. I so love these! You just can't find the wonderful color and crackling from the vintage ones on the new ones that are made of plastic. Yes they won't break but they don't have any character to them! Plus a couple of vintage paper wreaths made from hymnal's.

And some pillows!

Some sweet little glitter birds that were stamped with words. My mother took this one home with her!

This is my quilt they raffled off that day! A lovely young lady won it, lucky girl!!

Here are a few of the big magnets that I planned on taking but forgot to grab them on the way out the door!

Maybe deep down I really wanted to just keep them for myself!! Hope you all have a great Monday!!

Art!

So a really quick post then I gotta go pick up the kids from school! Finally some art to share! I have been getting ready for a craft show and I thought I would share this. It started with some watercolor paper and a page of an old book. Then I used some watercolor crayons and sprinkled it with some salt while wet. I then added some oil pastels around the edges.

Then some stamps here and there. I used a gel pen for the white dots and little doodles at the top.

I always do a bunch of magnets for this show. I seen these sheets of magnets at Wal-Mart and thought , well why not give it a whirl.

I like how she turned out. If they don't sell, then I have some really pretty art for my fridge, or my back door where I hang all of my little ATC's. I work in my laundry room and there is a back door in there. It's my Mom Cave!! LOL! Hope everyone has a great Halloween!!

Football and glitter!

Well first I didn't want to post this picture. There was another one I wanted to share, but the point of it was that I miss my pool! I already miss summer and the cool clear water of my pool! On another note this is what we"ve been up to. FOOTBALL! My son and his team play a football jamboree and played from 11:30 a.m. till about 9 or 9:30 in the evening! They were wore out!

They all did an awesome job and made it almost to the playoffs!

I finally got a chance to go to the antique stores around here and found some really beautiful reciepts. I just love love the handwriting on these! These were some doodles on the back of one of the reciepts. I want to learn how to write like this!

I've seen kits at Hobby Lobby and I think I'm gonna get one so I can practice!

Don't ya love em!?

I don't have a clue what to do with them. There were like 10 of them for $4. I need to get this computer in and fixed so I can scan them and share them with you!

I've also been making some Christmas ornaments for a craft fair in a couple of weeks. Some old tart tins and crinkled seam binding..love that!

It was white and I died it pink with some Glimmer Mist.

I've made some cones to. I added some vintage buttons around the edge with some glitter. I have got glitter everywhere! I sparkle!!

I sure hope everyone has a great day. I've got some art to post in the next one!!

Homecoming!

Just wanted to share some homecoming pictures of my daughter Meagan. This is her first homecoming and it has been a long week for her! But she has enjoyed every minute of it! It's weird, I have one that couldn't stand school at all, and this one is totally in love with it, and my third is eh, guess I gotta go! She'll be 16 in a couple of months, right before Christmas and my son will be 12 to days later, right before Christmas, and our anniversary is right before Christmas, I didn't plan very well did I?!

So here she is in all her yellow glory, which turned out to be a great color for the park because the leaves are changing.

What's a photo shoot without the pouty face?

This is her best friend they were all going together, Makes me wanna go get dressed up and go somewhere!

Busy, busy,busy!!

Well I have been so busy lately. Working on some of these cuffs for a craft fair next month. I just love love LOVE mop buttons. I'm always on the look out for them. I love the feel and texture of them and the way they look. They just give a little umph to whatever I'm working on. I think it's because they don't look like plastic ones. Ya know what I mean? I wanted to make some skinnier ones, wish that would work on my butt!! Ha! But anyways.. I wanted some skinnier ones so I used some webbing, the kind for handles for a bag if you were gonna make one. It's thicker and holds the shape of the cuff when wearing it. A little layering of lace and fabric and some tulle and a stamped image and of course the buttons!!! I used some sew on snaps for mine.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! It's also homecoming here. My daughters first one so you know I'll share some pics!! Plus the hubby has been gone since last Saturday for a fishing trip to Alabama. He better win, that's all I gotta say!! I'm going on a trip next time! Maybe to California to visit some family and maybe I'll find some California mop buttons!!
