Lucky girl?

Lucky. Well to me she's wondering if she's so lucky! I scanned this because it's rainy here today and I had to crop out the very top of it. It is a little handle from who knows what that I glued to the top.

I started out with a new canvas from Walmart. I glued down a piece of scrapbook paper. I used a dark blue acrylic paint around the edges and watered it down and wiped some away leaving the middle fairly light. I scraped on some pink, yellow and light blue paint as well.

I used a stamp with some script and stamps that are numbers.

I added some old paper clips and scanned an old ruler. I didn't want to use it cause I might want to use it again! lol!

 I don't have a clue what this went to but the color worked and I liked it there, so it stayed.

 The little label holders came from, ya know I don't remember! Jo-Ann's, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, one of those!

I printed out the work lucky on a piece of card stock and glued it on the holder and then glued that on as well. I was going to put resin on this piece but it makes me nervous to do it! What if it doesn't set right then it's ruined! Has anyone else done that with resin?

Doorhangers?

Just a quick little post before I go pick up the kids from school. I wanted to share a door hanger I worked on last night. I found a pack of these at walmart and thought I could do something with them. This is the first one. I thought I'd do something different besides "Sshhh baby sleeping" though that still would be cute, but do it in my own way! What do ya think?

A quick post! I have a few minutes right now to post something. So sorry for not posting as much lately. Kids are in their last week of school, so we are getting things done for that.

So I wanted to share a couple of photos with ya. The boy I thought was really sweet and the page is from an old school book. I thought it was kinda neat. Hope you all are having a great week!

It has been awhile since I posted last huh?! Gosh I've been busy working on the yard. Here are a few photos from around the yard after a rain.

 Trying to get that done plus trying to open the pool. Kids driving me crazy!!! Open it when is it gonna be done!?? It's hot!! Well it is finally almost done. Now it's a little cooler. Don't think they will be getting in it this weekend!

 I got an invitation to my niece's bridal shower today. My room is the kitchen. She is doing a room by room shower which I never heard of but is an awesome idea! I have a few ideas for her. She is the kind of girl that loves antique stores and handmade things. So I have a few ideas like I said!

 On another note...THIS BABY KITTEN IS DRIVING ME MADDDDD!!!! She is so darn cute, I need to take a pic and share it, but it's all over the place and everything! The other day I turned around and she was about to jump on the fish tank! Not good with new floors!! I think I still might keep her though.

Last but not least....I got rid of some gray hairs today!! lol!! I have had gray hairs since I was in my 20's. It runs in the family to get it early, Yay me! Jealous I know you are!

Relax! That is what I need to do! I have managed to squeeze in a little artwork.

 Not a long post today for sure. This is a photo I found at the antique store over the weekend. Use it if ya want too. I love her bow in her hair. So sweet with her granny. Hope you all have a good day I am off to buy some flowers for the yard. Yay I do love to work in the dirt as well! Hopefully I won't get  rained on!

Flower power!

I hope everyone is have a wonderful day. I just wanted to share some pictures of some flowers my daughter gave to me.

I didn't do anything to these photos, straight from the camera. Sometimes I do get lucky!

I love the water bubbles on the stems.

 I took a goody bag to my best friend since forever, today. She has breast cancer so I wanted to to something for her.

 She's a strong willed woman I tell ya! She doesn't ask for help or anything so today when she wasn't home a snuck the bag on her door. She'll have a nice surprise when she gets home.

 So I"ve been thinking and praying alot for her and her family. She has a daughter that's 15. Our girls go to school together. But like I said she is a strong woman and she will pull though and kick cancers butt!! It's amazing which way life takes you. You just never know.

Just a quick post today! I'm going to go have lunch with the hubby today and I'm hungry!! Just wanted to show another little painting I did. I'm really loving this long Bristol paper.

I used watercolors again. I drew it all out first with pencil.

 I then used black Pitt pen on some and painted some and just went back and forth with each where I thought it needed it.

 I used a white gel pen for the dots on the letters. I used the same stencil as last time but I added the swirls.
