Good Night!

Uh it's been awhile since I posted last but it's been a little busy here. Kids going back to school and for some reason they need new clothes! We had my neices wedding to go to. It was beautiful!! Love weddings!

Now I have my daughters baby shower this Saturday. I'll be sure to get some pics of that for sure! I had totally forgot to show the signs I made for my bedroom! They are old doorway headers. They were a dark brown and I painted them and sanded them and used my projector to trace the words on there. I like how they turned out.
Ok gotta go hope you all are having a wonderful week!!

Home is where his heart is.

What I've been working on these few days!

It's a larger canvas, an 8x10. I just wanted to do something a little bigger this time.

I had actually wanted to go in a totally different direction on this one. It had some circus theme going on with it.

But, it ended up here. Isn't it funny how it works out that way. You start out with one idea and end up with another.

I love how it turned out though. Hope you do to! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Been busy!

Well I've been busy with stuff! Running here and there and working on these! Did I already show this necklace? I can't remember. It's from a vintage watch crystal. Love these little things!

These are some paperweights that I found on my birthday when we went to Paducah to the antique shops there. I soaked them and took off the yucky old stuff and redid them. This one is a little deeper so I added some actual objects to it.

These things are hard to photograph. At least for me anyway! ha!

I do like the way they turned out though.

They are in my facebook shop. Trying to do that, so maybe it'll work out! http://www.facebook.com/sugarcreek.lisabowlin

Here is my beautiful daughter Sami and her fiance Chad.

And their beautiful baby boy Camden! I can just tell already he's beautiful and smart!

Last one..so sad!

Here's my last one! :( So sad and it went by so fast! I love all of your awesome comments on my posts. I loved looking at all of your art and blogs and on Facebook! Fun times!

This started with a wooden canvas again and I glued down a couple of pages from an old book. Then I added my colors, watermelon colors.

I added some white with the end of  a paintbrush for dots. The  brown was scrapped on with an i-tunes card. I really didn't know where I was going with this I just added some color and made a background.

I added some crackle paint. I have no luck with the stuff that you put on first let dry and then add the paint. I guess I'm too darn impatient. But the crackle on the heart and on the sides is Tim Holtz paint. Love it! It works!

I added the cards at the top then the cardboard heart. The cards on the heart are little vintage ones from a garage sale. I added the words and the vintage bingo pieces at the bottom. Which one side spells bingo and the other side is bingo backwards.

I added some charcoal for shading and a white gel pen here and there. Thank you guys for looking and leaving comments! I love and appreciate them all!

Finally!

OK finally here's my entry for www.twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com I think I should've added some more blue, but I still like it. The man was one photo and the woman was another, so they got married with glue!! he he!

This is a little wood canvas that I painted with some gesso. I then added all the colors of Wild n Reckless. I added some white paint on a letter stencil then scraped on some more white when that was dry. I ran a, I don't remember what that little thing is with the wheel for sewing, a pattern transfer thingy! Wow someone help me out here! lol!

I added the lovely couple and then added the dots with modeling paste for some texture. I painted the keys and added the words from an old book and added some Modge Podge Dimensional Magic(I think that's what it's called). I am having some serious brain farts today!! Anyway I'm going to go have a look, finally, at all the other wonderful art and goodness! Hope you all have a great day!

Strawberry!!

So here's my artwork for this week over at www.twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com for the Summer of Color#2!! She is on a wood canvas that I covered in gesso first.

I then added  a napkin with Modge Podge and added a little gesso with water and wiped some off. I also added the yellow and the pink in the same way. I added some white circles using an old ribbon spool dipped in paint. I added the darker pink drips with a paint pen.

I added the stamps I found on a flicker group. I used an old strawberry farm ticket stub. The little girl actually had a body. but I cut it off to make her this little strawberry fairy, sort of, she doesn't have wings! But she does have arms and legs. She's a little kooky, but hey it's what was in my mind!

I then went around the edges with ink and around the images with charcoal. Oh I transferred the word strawberry with the hand sanitizer. Just paint it on lightly, really just enough to get the cavas wet but not mooshy wet, does that make sense? lol! Then use the transparency and burnish it down before it dries.
That's about it for this one, now I'm going to link up and look at the rest! Have a great day everyone!!

Dirt bikes and Ice cream!

First I had to share some pics of my son Jordan on his dirt bike.

Such a cutie! (if he read that he would die)

Of course Mr. Know it All here, had to give him a few pointers. He used to race too so he had some input on the subject lol!

Here is my next piece for Summer of Color. This week was Baseball Nut.

I started with a wood canvas and gessoed it. I added a layer of white tissue paper with Modge Podge and let it wrinkle for texture. I  then added the almond color and a little white blended in the background. When that was dry I added the raspberry colors. They ranged from red to pink to purple even and just mixed as  I went.

I added some of the colors to a used dryer sheet and smooshed it around till it was covered. I tore it into pieces and added it to the corners. Oh I almost forgot! I painted all of the keys first with acrylics.

I added the keys with a glue and then the doorplate and the girl(I used her last week to) and the heart and little spool.

Then the words I printed out from the computer and added a piece of scrapbook paper behind them and glued them down as well. Lastly I added some Diamond Glaze to the keys and the heart. Oh I did add some dots here and there first.
Well I hope you like her. I do! Now go look at the list of some wonderful artists and play along!Go to www.twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com. ( I am such a dork. I forgot to thank all you for your wonderful comments!!! So sorry!! I love love reading and  all of them!! Ok now I'm gonna make my way through the list!!)
