The color green

Ok so here's the next color for http://twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com challenge. Each week is a different color. Last week was blue and there was some wonderful artwork! I didn't comment on all of them because for some reason either my computer or blogger, I couldn't comment on them! So frustrating I wanted to tell everyone what wonderful art they made!
So here is mine. With a little citron thrown in! It is the second page in my journal.

I used a couple spots with some glued book pages. Layers of watercolors and some acrylics put on with an old i-tunes card. I used some stamps as well, all for the background. I used some vintage images as well as an old movie ticket stub from a couple of months ago.

Ok here's my cover for my journal for http://www.twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com for the color blue. I used water color paper with layers of blue watercolors sprinkled with a little salt to soak some up. Layers of stamps and images. A little charcoal pencil to add some depth and some paint pens as well. Lovin these paint pens! My new favorite thing I tell ya! But please enjoy my little collage for her number is up! lol! Silly I know! ;)

Well for starters today is my Birthday! I am really trying to be in an upbeat mood and really, it's just not working. Not because I'm another year older...I'm 29 forever baby!! Just teenager problems and boy does wear a person down. Anyways..on the something that will hopefully help my mood! Over at http://twinkletwinklelikeastar.blogspot.com there is a wonderful blog party full of art going on and I decided to play. You should go check it out and see how to play!
I am going to make a journal from watercolor paper. I've been wanting to try one of these for awhile now and I think this is perfect! The first color is Blue and I already have ideas swimming around in my head!

Some artwork finally!

Finally some arwork finished. I took some time from swimming in the pool with the kids and worked on some things. This one first, thanks for looking!

Where have I been?

Well we've had some family time around here! I had some relatives come visit from California for a couple of days so we had a little reunion. I had never met them till now. It was a great visit!!

Yep..we are a little silly! But hey better silly than mad all the time!!

Then last night we watched, well I watched the kids swim while my husband was watching the game inside, and had a fire going and made some smores!

I love the summer. I wish it was summer all year 'round. The smell of suntan lotion. Sitting outside having a fire. Grilling out. Just everything, except mosquitoes. Who wants those?

They kinda look like some dead fish in the water! But they do know how to swim. They really taught themselves.

Coming up for air!! Now that things have slowed down a bit I can get back to working on some things. I have a couple I started and just didn't finish so hopefully I can get to those later today! Hope you all have a great day!!

I've been so busy lately with Meagan and her graduation and getting the yard and pool ready for summer!! Sadly this watermelon was mushy, but it looked good! I thought I'd share some pictures of some flowers around yard.

So glad to finally have some beautiful blooms to look at and share!
