Sharing a "new" old photo

Just wanted to share a little boy I found at the antique store the other day. He's a very well dressed little fella isnt' he? It's a beautiful day here, 60 degrees! Where is winter? It's in Alaska at -65!!  It can stay there! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Uh sickness has been in this house forever it seems like! My husband was sick then me and Meagan then hubby again! So finally I can make a post! New journal page, you are not alone.

I like this eh, ok I guess.

I do like the background though. I took a white gel pen and "wrote" all over the background. What does it say? Not a darn thing I just made scribbles like I was writing.

I do like the flap as well. But I didn't plan on it reading as, you are not family! lol!

Why are cats so nosy!!?? This kitty is wherever I am. She will race me to the bathroom so I can turn the water on for her to get a drink! Like how she sits right in the middle of what I'm doing?

This page really just started out with me just bored and playing with color.

Acrylics just smeared and blended. Water color pencils and some stamps.

The blue is a tag I did with oil pastels. I needed some contrast and that blue just popped, so I cut it up and added it.

Does anyone else's work desk look like this? It's a mixture of a bunch of projects at once. There is some jewelry some new gel pens and it's a mess that I know where everything is! Hope you all have a great day and go make a mess and make something!!

New doodle!

So while my batteries are charging on my camera, they are always dead when you want to use it, I'd thought I'd show you a new doodle and a picture of my daughters cheer squad at the competition Saturday. I just love their big hair and bows! They did an awesome job and will be going to state!!

So when my batteries are charged, I want to show you a peek at a new journal page! On a yucky note, it's snowing today!! YUCK!!

New journal page!

So here's a new page in my journal. I haven't had much time lately to do anything!! Meagan has a cheer competition this weekend so I've been busy making things for the girls and I'm going to make some rice krispie treats for that as well.
   But I started off with some acrylic paint I really just smeared on there with a brush. I then used some white on an old i-tunes card and drug it across the pages here and there. I used a new stamp at the bottom of the page. I then glued on the triangles and the girl and her hat and tickets and the hand, oh and the bird. I used some watercolor pencils around the edges and used lots of water on my brush and let it run down the page. I doodled on the sleeve and shaded a bit with a charcoal pencil. I used a paint pen for the letters and a white gel pen here and there for the dots.
    I hope you like her! I'll work on the next page after Saturday. CHEER CHEER CHEER!!!

Christmas and birthday's oh my!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We have been busy here as well. First it was our anniversary, 17 years! Then it was this young ladies 16th birthday! And yes she is sweet!!

 Then it was this young mans 12th birthday! Teenage years are upon us with him!!

Then I got an early present that I wanted to post about and just didn't have time to do it! I got published! I was so excited to get this in the mail! I was not expecting it at all!

 I sent in a few ATC's and didn't hear back till I got this in the mail!

Yes I have been showing my family and friends. My family thinks I'm silly but I don't care!! I think this is gonna be a great year already!!

So clearly my kitties are both presents this year!

 I found this awesome horse at a junk sale for only $1. He's chippy and old and has two holes on the bottom. I have no clue what he was used for but I like him!

 Oh and he's metal and very heavy.

 My anniversary flowers! Yesterday was out 17th year together!! It really doesn't seem like it's been that long ago. We've know each other since highschool  but didn't get married till he got out of the Marines,oohraa!, and I moved back from Florida.

 We just started dating and I couldn't get rid of him! lol!

 He's the best husband and dad and I'm happy and couldn't ask for a better life! Maybe the only thing I could ask for is some toilet paper in the bathroom at 3am when I gotta potty!
