Bears and ducks!

Bears and ducks oh my! We went fishing,at least that what we planned anyway, but he didn't catch anything, we kept loosing our worms, and the water was rough from the skii-doo's. But I think he had a little fun wading in the water looking in the water for shells and minnows. The ducks came up thinking we had bread for them. We usually bring some but forgot this time. The other pics are of a bear I got at one of the antique stores uptown. I brought her home and gave her a good bath and made her perdy! I made the little sundress and dyed it grungy. Gave her a key to her heart on vintage seam binding that was dyed also along with a rose in her hair! I would say it was a good Sunday!

A few images today from a trip to a couple of new antique stores this weekend. One thing I've learned....don't take the husband. He is like a kid! Don't touch that! Leave the alone! But the worst of all....passing gas in the store!!!! Man men just don't care!!!But I did manage to find a few things. A little school book, a lovely flower pin, some tarnished silver bowls which I think will make great pincushions! Some wonderful receipt books for only $1! And one lonley little chandeleir crystal for $1 as well. I also got a box of old keys too, but forgot to take the pic of those. I also posted a couple of pics of a collage for ARTchixs fun contest of mermaids. You can make up to three....I might still make the other two I havent decided yet. But this is my contribution #1.

Just a few pics. of a pocket pillow and a new journal that I made the other day. the pillow has a vintage photo and a vintage hankie, sheet music and a key. I was thinking of someone going through their granny's trunk of keepsakes and keeping a few of the things they found. The journal is for a craft fair. It's not until Nov. but I always sell alot of these and want to make sure I have quite a few ready. Best Friends Forever!! I just loved the costumes I assume that's what they are wearing. Kind of westerny I think!

I hate when you are in the middle of taking pictures and the dang batteries go dead and low and behold, you don't have anymore and the rechargable ones are in the kids toys and you don't have anymore! POO! So I'll post about a new collage and a couple of pics of my daughte and her friend and my niece being free as a bird teens! Oh to be a teen again!! NOT!!! I wouldn't want to go there ever again!! To much pressure!!

Garden Party

A new collage for the Green Paper Challenge. I was thinking of a Garden Party for this one. I do love the way it turned out!

This is a pillow I was working on for my mother to take to a friends 40th anniversary party. I took the picture from the invitation of them when they were 17! I scanned it and enlarged it and printed it out on iron on paper. Added a tag and a rusty old key and some ribbon and muslin roses and there ya go! They loved it! Forty years is a long time to be married! They have been married as long as I've been alive! Of course I also had to post a picture of our crazy cat Binks playing in a pile of yellow tulle!

I visited a new antique store a few days ago and found this little book. I have no clue as to what it is. I thought maybe a bible, just not sure. I don't even know what language this is. But I thought it was beautiful though. I also found some wonderful lace and some really awsome old stamps. Love these stamps. They are from around here from the post office and some old business ones. This was my find for the weekend I tell ya!
